Select in the main-menu Options->Options->Mail-account.
Fill in the name of the account in "Account Name".
Beneath you can choose a folder where the received e-mails shall be saved in.
Now you fill in your e-mail-address and your name.
In case your server needs an authenticated login please activate it!Under Options->e-mail you can choose your standard-account which will be selected automatically
every time you want to write a new e-mail.Under Options->Mail-Account you can decide if you want a signature and create one.
To have the opportunity of putting a signature in an e-mail, mark the box next to it.
If you want the whole text of the received e-mail beneath your answer, mark the box next to "quote whole e-mail".
If you want to "clean up" your database automatically, go to Options->Database.
With the right click on a folder (under properties) you can choose to delete e-mails automatically or completely delete e-mails older than a chosen time. First you select a folder which shall be checked by every start. Beneath that you can decide after how many days after receiving them
they are to be deleted completely. Through that your database can be kept as small as you want it.
If you do not want to receive a special e-mail in a selected folder, for example a newsletter, add it to your spam list.
Those e-mails will automatically be moved to the spam folder.To select spam either type in the address under Options->Spam-Filter or mark the e-mail with the right click of your mouse and choose
"Add to Spamlist".

With templates you can create standard mail for fast answering.
To create a template, go under Options->Templates. Now you can write in the editor to make your templates.
You can select the template in the e-mail-window in the combo-box and paste it by clicking on "Add Template".
If E-mail Quick Disk is supposed to log itself in automatically with auto-check-mail, go to Options->Connections, mark the box
and select the internet-connection.Username/ID and password of the selected connection have to be saved for that.

E-mail
Quick Disk can import address books via csv, ldi and wab. Ldi
is the Netscape-Format and at first you have to export it.
Wab is the standard Outlook-format and is saved in
documents and settings in the user folder, the application-settings are saved
in
the address book folder.
The
csv import is not so comfortable. At first you have
to open the csv-file and then you have type in the
fitting number for each field.
For example when the name is on the fourth place, select it under name 4, ...
Also you can import eMails via File->
Import->Import eml. Please export the e-mails
first from Outlook and
Now you can transfer your e-mails from Outlook and Co. to E-mail Quick Disk.
The imported e-mails are saved in the “In” Folder.

There are three ways to search: 1. for the general search, press search in the main menu. 2. to view the e-mail-traffic from your e-mail-accounts go to edit in the main menu. 3. to see the e-mail-traffic of a special person, right click on the message of this person and select "show eMail-traffic from that contact".
You can manage your contacts under Other->Contacts. If you want to add a contact in an e-mail, press "To", "Cc:" or "BCc:".
To create an e-mail group go to Options->Groups. Enter all e-mail-addresses for a group, separated by a semicolon and a space.
In the editor you can choose the group you want to send an e-mail to.
E-mail Quick Disk supports
POP3/SMTP/IMAP and WebDav. The WebDav
support is still in development!
WebDav runs stable, but you should rather not use the
WebDav support with a business-account.
E-mail Quick Disk does not delete WebDav e-mails, so
you can read them in the trash-folder.
